PARENT INSTITUTE (Casa de Padres)—A place where parents can turn for classes, information, community resources and support.
YOUNG LEADERS PROGRAM—A program for youth ages 12-21, teaching leadership skills and the value of community involvement.
THE MAGIC CLASS (La Clase Mágica)—Offered in concert with the CREATE program at UCSD, this class is a unique opportunity for children and their parents to jointly learn the essentials of a computer.
COMMUNITY PLAZA (PLAZA COMUNITARIA)—An online program for Mexican nationals wishing to complete their high school education and earn a diploma. This is a self-paced program guided by our staff.
READ SAN DIEGO COMPUTER CLASSES—Teaches community members how to read and write, helps them develop computer skills, and promotes habits for lifelong learning.
COMPUTER LITERACY CLASSES—Classes for youth, adults, and senior citizens to develop basic to advanced levels of computer proficiency.
ADULT BEGINNER COMPUTER CLASS—A basic class for adults where they will learn to use fundamental programs such as Microsoft Word, create an email account, and conduct basic Internet searches.
SENIOR COMPUTER CLASS—Seniors can explore the world of computers through project-based learning using Word, Illustrator, Power Point, Photoshop, email and the Internet.
POWER POINT FOR SENIORS—Teaches seniors to create slide presentations and create collages with their pictures using Power Point.
ESL FOR SENIORS—A class for senior citizens wanting to improve their English language communication skills.
CITIZENSHIP IN SPANISH—This class focuses on the process of acquiring U.S. citizenship for people over the age of 50 who have been permanent residents for the past 20 years.
SPANISH LITERACY—Teaches Spanish-speakers to read and write.
