The San Ysidro Civic Center is central to our grassroots community organizing efforts such as San Ysidro Sin Límites/Unlimited, which is a series of community organizing/advocacy workshops and presentations focused around community/economic development issues. Presentations have integrated: U.S. GSA San Ysidro Port of Entry Project, The City of San Diego – Planning Department, San Diego Housing Commission, The San Diego Mediation Center, People for Trees, SANDAG, San Diego State University, University of California San Diego, Cal State San Marcos, Woodbury University, and others.

The San Ysidro Civic Center is activated by Promotoras or health advocates. Promotoras are the heart of health and fitness programs. These health advocates provide classes and workshops that range from nutrition to exercise, and other wellness classes free to the community. The Promotorasoffer daily exercise classes beginning at 9am, however, registration is required. Please see below for the most recent schedule of classes updated monthly.
