Casa Familiar offers an exciting and flexible array of internship and volunteer opportunities. No matter what your motivation for becoming involved—perhaps you are a student seeking valuable experience to complement your coursework, or a local resident hoping to give back to your community—Casa Familiar has a meaningful role for you within our agency.

Over fifty programs are carried out under Casa Familiar’s leadership. These programs include a wide variety of community revitalization and affordable housing projects, adult and youth social services, educational programs, art and culture classes, recreational activities, technology training, as well as projects related to immigration and borderland issues.

Past volunteers have lived out their inner call-to-service by teaming up with Casa Familiar in a variety of ways. Some activities performed by past volunteers include:

• Teaching children basic computer skills in our “Clase Mágica”
• Drawing from professional skills to create an enhanced agency marketing plan
• Providing administrative support for our Social Services program
• Creating the Casa Familiar web site
• Sharing professional expertise at special topic community workshops
• Serving dinners at our charitable Thanksgiving event
• Working at our Holiday Toy Party for low-income families
