IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The safety and well-being of our community is always our top priority at Casa Familiar, which is why we want to make you aware that out of genuine care for our community an individual on our staff has notified us that they have tested presumptive positive for COVID-19. With respect to this individual’s privacy, we will just share that the last time this individual interfaced with the public was on August 18, 2020 during the food bank at Sunset Elementary. San Diego County public health is currently in the process of monitoring the individual who is in self-quarantine and the individual will not return until the conclusion of the self-quarantine period. Persons that may have come into prolonged contact with the individual have been directly contacted with instructions to self-quarantine and be tested.
Public health officials have indicated that virus symptoms can range from mild to severe and could include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Symptoms may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure. Anyone experiencing symptoms should self-quarantine and contact your doctor. If you’re feeling ill, it is recommended that you separate from others in the home, wear a face mask, cover coughs and sneezes, clean hands and surfaces often, and avoid sharing personal items. It is important to monitor symptoms for potential worsening including shortness of breath. It should be emphasized that anyone who is ill should stay home except to get medical care.
Casa Familiar continues to follow all public health guidelines strictly.
